The HDI Compact 3D scanner (the next generation HDI 100 series) is designed for industrial applications and can generate accurate and repeatable scan results. It has the convenience of a consumer-grade 3D scanner while producing high-quality professional 3D results. Using blue LED structured light technology, high-quality 3D scan results can be generated within one second.

How it works

The HDI Compact 3D scanner can obtain a 3D image of the object every scan. In order to create a digital model of the entire object, it must be scanned from all angles. It uses the following components to capture 3D scans:

1. Scanning unit: the light source (blue LED light) projects a series of patterns on the scanning target. The pattern is deformed when it is projected onto the surface of the object. The camera captures these images and sends them to FlexScan3D software.

2. The FlexScan3D software is the control center for the entire operation. It uses the captured image to calculate the depth and surface information of the object to create a 3D scan. Then, FlexScan3D cleans up, merges and stitches multiple scans together (called post-processing) to create a complete digital 3D model.

Automatic workflow

HDI Compact can be connected to a lightweight rotating table, enabling you to generate better digital 3D models faster than before. Simply place the object on the rotating table and let the system automatically work for you. After each scan captured by HDI Compact, the rotating stage stops at predetermined intervals. The post-processing of scanned data is also automated, as the system merges all scans together to create a fully digital 3D model. Automation is a time-saving method, especially when scanning objects of similar size. Reduce manual operations and get amazing digital 3D models.

Simple settings to start scanning

The HDI Compact series of 3D scanners can accurately capture millions of 3D measurement points within minutes of installation. This 3D scanner is pre-calibrated. Just connect the scanner, install the included FlexScan3D software on your computer, and the system can scan. The system is small in size, convenient to carry and easy to carry. No need to calibrate or recalibrate after scanning, saving time and improving productivity.
